Coco and Mittens joined their family when they were both quite young, just a few months apart. They’re both really lovely and adore everyone in their family, but they’ve been adamant about not being friends for a long time.
Tom, Coco and Mittens’ father, told The Dodo, “Coco is the classic devoted Lab, extremely kind, very sensitive.” “Mittens is a finicky cat that believes she owns the place, loves to make a ruckus and boss you about, but when she feels like it, she loves to snuggle and be really lovely.”
Despite the fact that Coco and Mittens both enjoyed cuddling with the rest of their family, they refused to do it with each other. Their family had hoped that they would learn to like each other, but after a decade of little improvement, they realized that it was definitely a lost cause.
While many cat and dog siblings get along, Mittens and Coco were adamant about sticking to the stereotype of not getting along. They had largely ignored each other for the previous 13 years, until their father stepped into the room one day and saw an extraordinarily frightening scene.
Mittens and Coco had made the decision to snuggle.
The loving sisters, who had always kept their distance from one other, had now resolved to put their differences aside and love each other for however long they had left.
“I’m not sure how much longer Coco has left; she’s slowing down and exhibiting major indications of age.” “Perhaps Mittens senses it or something,” Tom speculated. “They snuggle at a rapid pace for a few hours at a time. It’s quite typical these days, once or twice a day.”
Even when they don’t feel like snuggling up close, Coco and Mittens like cuddling together.
… They just like being in close proximity to one another, such as sharing a bed for a little snooze…
