Even though the Gemini IV mission is most known for “performing the first spacewalk” in US history, the astronauts on board had sighted a weird UFO hovering above Earth’s orbit.
During the Gemini IV launch, astronauts James McDivitt and Ed White circled the Earth 66 times, making history as the first multi-day space excursion.
During the flight, the astronauts photographed a mysterious cylindrical-shaped object, which many authors consider to be one of the best UFO images ever shot.
In June 1965, NASA launched Gemini 4, a human space mission as part of the Gemini program. It was the Gemini mission’s second human flight and the US space program’s twentieth. During the journey, Edward White became the first American astronaut to walk in space.
What sets this flight apart from the others is what Brigadier General James McDivitt, the Gemini IV mission commander, saw that was unlike anything he had seen on any previous space mission.
McDivitt saw a cylindrical object with a sharp, white shape, according to him.
According to the USAF commander, the item, which seemed to be a long arm, was extending out of the side, similar to a soda or beer can, and something that looked like a pencil was jutting out of the object.
Because the object resembled a spacecraft, McDivitt was perplexed. He couldn’t tell whether he was looking at a little local item or a massive distant one.
He couldn’t measure it since he didn’t have the right tools. To put it another way, he had no idea how big the monster was.
Fearing a collision with the spaceship, the commander snatched one of the spacecraft’s two cameras and snapped a picture of the object before turning on the rocket’s control unit.
Because his spacecraft was adrift at the time, McDivitt said he couldn’t tell whether the object was moving.
“I watched the light shine through the spaceship window as my ship approached,” he added. He stated that the spaceship’s windshield, like a car’s, was dirty and soiled, and that he couldn’t see through it at the moment.
The mysterious item disappeared as he moved the spacecraft and ignited the rocket control engines, restoring darkness to the viewport. Ufologists may analyze McDivitt’s image from that day, which has also been made available.
Many people may provide conventional explanations for the object, while others will argue that it is undeniable evidence that UFOs exist and are present in space.
Surprisingly, in 2015, photographs allegedly taken by the USS Trepang appeared on the internet.
According to some UFO specialists, these photographs depict an unexplained species similar to the reported UFO observed by James McDivitt during the Gemini IV mission.
The USS Trepang SSN 674 captured the photographs of the UFO in March 1971. They’re also accessible, thanks to “The Black Vault’s” John Greenewald and “Top Secret Magazine’s” Alex Mistretta.
