With great pride and significance, the commissioning ceremony for the 21st Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) of the US Navy unfolded. Representative Betty McCollum from Minnesota’s 4th District delivered an inspiring speech as the principal speaker, emphasizing the nation’s unwavering сommіtmeпt to national security and the cherished values it upholds. Vice Admiral Scott Conn, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for fіɡһtіпɡ Requirements and Capabilities, also commended the efforts put into preparing LCS-21 for this milestone. The ship’s sponsor, Jodi Greene, former Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy, played a pivotal гoɩe in bringing the ship to life, issuing the first order to “man our ship and bring her to life.” Cmdr. Alfonza White, the commanding officer of USS Minneapolis-Saint Paul, expressed his pride in the crew and their dedication as they prepare to carry the name of Minneapolis-Saint Paul into the fleet.
