Discovery Channel Treasure Hunter Claims To Have Found Alien Spacecraft In The Bermuda Triangle

A treasure hunter has made a surprising and ‘inexplicable’ discovery deep within the Bermuda Triangle that he believes could provide the first evidence of an extraterrestrial visit to Earth hundreds of years ago.

Explorer Darrell Miklos is using secret maps created by his friend and famous NASA astronaut Gordon Cooper (†) to find shipwrecks in the Caribbean.

His incredible discoveries were featured over the course of two seasons of Discovery Channel docuseries called Cooper’s Treasure. But in recent months his team has stumbled on something he believes will shock the world.

Darrell Miklos and his team discovered the OSNI (Unidentified Submerged Object) in the Bermuda Triangle near the Bahamas.

Using maps gathered in the 1960s by Cooper to identify more than 100 magnetic ‘anomalies’ in the Caribbean, Miklos dove to an undisclosed location near the Bahamas to investigate what he thought could be an ancient shipwreck.
But instead, the veteran treasure hunter found a bizarre structure the likes of which he had never seen.

In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Miklos, 55, described what he encountered while filming episode 7 of Cooper’s Treasure and how he and his team want to bring the ‘alien spacecraft’ to the surface.

The massive Unidentified Underwater Object (OSNI) has 15 90-meter-long ledges jutting out from its side.
In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Miklos, 55, described what he encountered while filming episode 7 of Cooper’s Treasure and tells how he and his team want to bring the ‘alien spacecraft’ to the fore.
He remembers:

We were doing a scene where I was sitting in a submersible for a crew of two. We were in the Bahamas and we were on a trail of an English shipwreck, somehow related to Sir Francis Drake.
I was trying to identify the wreck material based on one of the anomaly readings in Gordon’s tables, when I noticed something that stood out, which shocked me. It was a formation unlike anything I had ever seen related to shipwreck material, it was too big for that.
It was also something completely different from anything I’ve seen that was done by nature.

Horizontal cylindrical structures protrude from this large dome at the center of the site.

It’s almost like there are five arms sticking out of a sheer cliff in the wall and each of them is the size of a gun on a battleship. They’re huge and so there’s five here and five there, 15 in total.
There are identical formations in three different areas and they don’t look like nature made, they don’t look man made, certainly nothing I’ve seen based on my experience and I have years of experience doing this. We’ve identified several different types of shipwreck materials, it doesn’t match or look like any of this.

The deepest part of the site is 300 meters below the surface, divers had to use special breathing apparatus and a state-of-the-art submarine to access it.

Here, what he describes as the salient section of the OSNI. According to the scientists on Darrell’s team, no coral anywhere in the world could naturally grow in this formation, there would have to be an underlying structure to support this type of growth. Photo: Discovery Channel
The explorer also found other bizarre and unexplained formations around the main object, all covered in thick coral that he believes to be hundreds if not thousands of years old.

Delighted with the discovery, when he returned aboard his ship, Miklos decided to dig deeper into Cooper’s archives to find more clues.
Significantly, the astronaut had written ‘unidentified object’ on the area map, rather than mentioning any historic shipwreck.
Miklos further said:

I investigated some of Gordon’s tables, realized there was something else Gordon was referring to.
So it made sense to me why it wasn’t identified as a shipwreck…he had to say it could be something otherworldly.

Gordon believed in aliens. He believed that we had visitors from other planets and he also believed that many of these things landed in this particular part of the world.
Gordon Cooper successfully piloted the Mercury-Atlas 9 Faith 7 spacecraft around the planet 22 times in 1963, paving the way for men to reach the Moon. He was a pioneer who became the first American to sleep in space and the first to fly twice. He was also the first American televised from space.

But in addition to researching the limits of human endurance, he was also accused of a secret espionage mission while in orbit.
Using special ‘long range detection’ equipment, Cooper was asked by the US government to look for ‘nuclear threats’ – which likely meant Russian submarines or nuclear missiles.

But Miklos says Cooper — an avid treasure hunter — also observed the positions of Caribbean shipwrecks while conducting this spy mission, and created a map on his return to Earth.

The wreck hunter claims longtime friend Cooper gave him the maps – which included detailed charts and exact coordinates – after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and died in 2004 at age 77.

In the show’s first season, Miklos and his team used Cooper’s map to make a remarkable discovery in the Caribbean – a centuries-old anchor believed to be from one of Christopher Columbus’ ships.

Cooper’s maps have led Miklos to dozens of other significant shipwrecks in the Caribbean, worth millions of dollars.
But with this latest discovery, the Californian is aware of being labeled ‘crazy’ for coming out with extraordinary claims that Cooper’s map could now lead him to an alien spacecraft submerged in the ocean.

That’s why he says he wants to remain ‘neutral’ until he can investigate the mysterious location further.
Miklos and TV production company AMPLE Entertainment are now hoping that Discovery Channel will commission a third season of Cooper’s Treasure so they can do just that.
Miklos said:

I want to investigate this. I want to see what it is because it can be done by nature, just a freak of nature, but given its placement in this particular part of the Caribbean and given what Gordon has told me about visitors from another planet and the things I’ve seen, I think worth investigating.

AMPLE Entertainment founders Ari Mark and Phil Lott, who are behind Cooper’s Treasure, are equally excited.
Mark told DailyMail.com:

In the first two seasons, we didn’t get too far into Cooper’s UFO interests and what he told Darrell about what he had seen.
I feel like we haven’t even scratched the surface of what’s in Cooper’s files, but that’s what we hope to do in a third season.
The conclusion is that Cooper detected anomalies and it is maps of his that led Darrell to this discovery.
Cooper was a reliable source of treasure, so based on his findings, Darrell discovered something that doesn’t look like a shipwreck or anything anyone has ever seen.
We want to find out exactly what this is, and thus establish whether it accords with Cooper’s belief that we are not alone.

During his post-NASA career, Cooper, the former US Air Force pilot became known for sincerely believing in UFOs and said that the US government was covering up its knowledge of extraterrestrial activities.
Cooper said during a UN panel in 1985:

I believe that these extraterrestrial vehicles and their crews are visiting this planet from other planets, which are obviously a little more technically advanced than we are here on Earth.
I feel that we need to have a coordinated, high-level program to scientifically collect and analyze data from all over the Earth about any type of encounter, and determine how best to interact with these visitors in a friendly way.
For many years I lived with a secret, a secret imposed on all experts and astronauts. I can now reveal that every day in the US our radar instruments capture objects of shape and composition unknown to us.

Miklos said Cooper often told him stories of UFO sightings and believed that many of the world’s technological advances had been passed on to governments by messengers from alien planets.
Cooper even drew a miniature ‘UFO’ of himself based on an alien design he claimed to have seen.
But as for Cooper being a UFO lunatic, Miklos vehemently disagrees. He described him as a ‘close friend’ and ‘father figure’ who had a ‘sane mind’.
Miklos said of Cooper:

I can tell you one thing for sure, there were a lot of conspiracy theorists and UFO freaks that he [Cooper] didn’t want to know about.
Just because he had real encounters with something he couldn’t explain and other encounters he had an explanation for, he wasn’t going to make friends with all these different types of groups.
In the early days he would not go beyond the limits of what he could reveal, for fear of being killed (by the government) and what good it would do. So he kept silent; he was very quiet until later in his life.

Mercury mission astronaut Gordon Cooper shot into space in his Faith 7 capsule on May 15, 1963.

So the man I knew wasn’t a freak, he wasn’t hallucinating and he wasn’t making things up to get attention, it wasn’t him.
He really believed what he saw and tried to say it in a way that made people believe, and he knew that because of his background at NASA as a rocket scientist, he was more trustworthy than most.

However, Cooper was often discredited for expressing his beliefs about extraterrestrial activities, but Miklos added:

As serious as I am speaking here now with a clear mind to you, that’s what he was like.
He was an honest and straightforward individual who just wanted to investigate and explore the possibilities of the unknown, even if it meant risking his professional career.
