Since ancient times, “lxuality” has been a recurring motif in visual arts; paintings and ceramics featured erotic and “lxually explicit” situations. Although both male and female indecency was depicted as dealt with and mathematically proportioned in ancient Greece, explicit displays of indecency were nonetheless prevalent in artistic works.
